Being a civic minded New Yorker (ok perhaps a contradiction in terms) I ask: "Basketball or Lacrosse?" She gave me a look that could only be described ans incredulous and said "Basketball of [I]coahs[/I]."  After doing my civic duty (after all Syracuse IS New York's college team) and answering 2003,  she informed me that "we" meaning UNC had won it in 2009.

I thanked her for the information but reminded her that I hadn't asked. Then added: "If I recall correctly Syracuse kicked the snot (it was really another four letter s word, but this is a family environment) out of North Carolina in the Garden last year." The man, literally laughed out loud at my retort while the lady gave that "well I declare, how [I]dauh [/I]you" look of surprise. As I passed them and went on my way I could still hear the man laughing.
