This group wants to send their veterans out with a win, and that can carry a team. 2. [B]Playcalling Finally Matches the Personnel[/B] Syracuse finally leaned into what it actually does well — moving the pocket, using QB legs, and simplifying reads. If this continues, the offense could look more cohesive than it has all season. 3. [B]Tylek Hill Is Electric in Space[/B] Averaging 5.4 yards per carry, Hill brings juice every time he touches the ball. And BC’s defense is statistically awful — worst in the P4 in yards allowed, and near-worst in yards per play. Hill in space is a mismatch Syracuse must exploit. 4. [B]The Future Leaders Are Already Emerging[/B] Freshmen Antoine Deslauries (56 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 3 FF) and Demetres Samuels Jr. (44 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 INT, 8 PBUs) have been phenomenal. Expect both to cap their breakout seasons with another strong performance. 5.[B] Boston College’s Defense Is Historically Bad[/B] The Eagles rank: • Worst in the Power 4 in yards per game • 2nd worst in the Power 4 in yards per play • 2nd worst in the Power 4 in total defense Syracuse doesn’t need fireworks — just consistent execution — to move the ball. 6. [B]BC Turns the Ball Over ,A Lot[/B] BC has the 3rd most turnovers in the Power 4. Syracuse’s defense is built to capitalize with aggressive young playmakers who punch at the ball and jump routes. 7. [B]Stonehouse Is an NFL-Caliber Weapon[/B] 19 punts over 50 yards, 14 inside the 20, and a 46.85 average. He flips the field, steals hidden yards, and forces offenses to drive long fields. This might be his final college showcase before Sundays. 8. [B]Tripp Woody Has Been Rock-Solid[/B] A 10-for-12 field goal season is exactly what Syracuse needs. In a game between two turnover-prone offenses, consistent points matter — a lot. 9. [B]Both Teams Are Limping to the Finish Line[/B] Let’s call it what it is: neither Syracuse nor Boston College is coming into this game hot.
