Coughlin’s way-ahead 2015 RPI: 1st
The Orange shot 35.3%, their highest since at least 2003. The shooting percentage also was higher than the school’s NCAA Title teams in 1993, 1995, 2000 and 2002. The problems? Syracuse won 46% of their face-offs and had a save percentage of 49.5%. Teams have won a national title below 50% in one or the other but probably not both. Meantime, for all the talk of offense, the defense and defensive midfield will be very strong. Expect a rebound from the Orange.
