Off my headWant to generate a list of examples of players SU who lost starting privileges based on better option on bench
If you start Kadary and goes well then JB looks smart.if you start Kadary and it goes bad how does Joe come in and change things up? Same reason Dion was the sub and probably the better player.. Now when Kadary can make the 10-12 ft shot, hopefully next season I think it does change.

I agree he is better on D. But he is not good at initiating the offense. even Sat it wasnt the offense that was the issue that got us behind it was all the missed shots..If you start Kadary and goes well then JB looks smart.
So basically don’t switch things up because it could go wrong.when it could go right.
Kadary can’t make 10-12 foot shots now?
What about the improvement it does for our defense?

you also can not tell what kadary is seeing before he enters the game, maybe he needs to see and be told what teams are doing which you cant do if he starts..
For my money I play one of the other centers and rotate the 3 guards and the 2 forwards with Marek and press some of these teams.. ND/Virg and some others do not handle the press very well.
I would play him more too, just dont think starting is that big a deal as long as he gets the 25+ a game. I would like 30 BB 30 Kadary 20 JG..

Marek started 23 of 71 games his first two seasonsSo, for play only, not based on injury or anything like that?
Jalen Carey. (don't let the injury talk fool you)
Frank Howard (ditto)
Matt Moyer (ditto)
Kaleb Joseph
Roberson, maybe?
DaJuan was starting, then JB went with Jerami instead.
Fab and Baye as Frosh - Fab started 24 games, then Baye the final 10.
Going back a ways - Mike Edwards forced Dave Johnson to the bench, since Stevie T was clearly not the PG we needed. DJ still got a lot of minutes.
(just imagine that team with Kenny Anderson as the PG... sigh.
FFF Bobby Cremins and the private jet & the bags)
yup.. and so does JB.. kadary does best when its attack down hill. When he cant do that the offense stalls out., Not every team is just gonna let him go iso, and if they do them let him go do it.You think the Joe is better at initiating offense than Kadary?
I don’t. I wish it was 30-30-20 unless Buddy is hot like he was Saturday we should see Kadary and Joe more in the backcourt.
Marek started 23 of 71 games his first two seasons
Red Bruin started 18/33 as a sophomore
Battle started 25/34 as a frosh
Damon Brown started 26/33 as a sophomore
Bill Celuck started 13/28 as a junior
Jason Cipolla started 24/37 his first year at SU
It is a long list. If you want it, visit Orangehoops.org and work through the player index.
If Gillon started earlier that year were easily in the tourney (I called for it and got hammered here).Off my head
2016-2017 Frank Howard for John Gillon.
Tyler Roberson for Tyus Battle.
AW become the 3 and Tyus became the 2.
