Seems like a fair line considering our play with Fab in the lineup. I'll say Georgetown covers and loses by 9.

Youch thats a huge line, they are begging people to put money on G-Town

Seems high against a top10 ish team even at home but I thik we cover.

Oops. Sorry John, didn't see this thread

That line is massive. Shows how much respect Vegas has for Cuse. I was expecting 7-7.5

At the same time, I think we can cover.

Pomeroy has it as 7, though I think some of that is due to the ratings not reflecting Fab being out for 3 games.

I don't understand how SU fans can take the points and bet on G-Town here. If SU were up by 15 you'd have to start rooting for the Hoyas - How can you put yourself in that position? The line is too big for me too, but I'm just not gonna touch it.

I was guessing the line would be 6 or so since the Hoyas have been playing well - but maybe since Fab is back Vegas is thinking we'll be on fire. still seems like a big line.

I would put an SU fan making money from Georgetown beating Syracuse just below human trafficking on the list of immoral ways to make money.

Not beating Syracuse. Covering the spread. The line should move down so getting at +11.5 could be a steal. I am sure your poster meant that he wants SU to win but thinks it could be somewhat close and GTown will cover. If he meant your interpretation, though, then yes, he should be flogged in public.

Yes, you're right. But just the principle of wanting SU to not play as good as it possibly can seems sacreligious to me.

Same train 0f thought as previous. Not wanting SU to bring its A game is not the principle or thinking at all (presumably). Poster wants team to play "as good as it possibly can" (and win), but also expects GTown to bring its A game, or perhaps A+ game given the rivalry etc. Poster believes result will be SU win but a classic SU-Gtown slugfest, resulting in a close score in the end. Capiche?

Right...just like Pitt earlier in the year. I thought the spread was too high...so I put money on Pitt..as an investment opportunity. I still root for SU to win by 50.

Honestly, looking at our schedule, we should never be favored by less than 8 at home. Anything less indicates that we would be a road dog, and there isn't a team left on our schedule that we should be the underdog against, even on the road.

(I get the Louisville thing, but that's a JB-Pitino thing. Any team at SU's level should be favored against any team at Louisville's level no matter where the gaem is played.)
