On this website you can go all the way back to the 1985 season to see the point spreads and results of all the games. It's pretty interesting to see how the team has done. I didn't go back that far but here are the results from the last five seasons where Syracuse has been a 14 pt or more underdog. There aren't that many games until you reach 2008. Amazing how far this team has come since then.

2012 USC +24.5 29-42
2011 WVU +14 49-23
2009 @PSU +28.5 7-28
2009 Cincy +15.5 7-28
2008 PSU 27.5 13-55
2008 Pitt 14 24-34
2008 @WVU 22 6-17
2008 @USF 24.5 13-45
2008 @Rut 14 17-35
2008 @ND 19.5 24-23
2008 @Cincy 21 10-30

Overall record 7-4 vs the spread. Not too bad.

The results of past games is meaningless, not sure why gamblers even think its relevant. I think the pointspread is way off in this game. I would take SU all day.

its not irrelevant if you use it correctly. spreads are set by people.. the goal is win a bet.. if you can show a number that a bet will win over 60% of the time you will win money. you cant look at a single game you have to be willing to play all the relevant games.

The biggest stat from those games is that our W_L record is 1-10.

Hey give the team some credit. There are two wins: WVU and ND.

NW is not 16.5 pts better than the Cuse or even 13.5 if you take away home field advantage...

A 24.5 point underdog to South Florida(!), and then not covering, is a perfect representation of the depths of the Grob era.
