I'm a little scared of Stoney Brook after looking at their roster. They are a big team. Their OL probably averages 6'3" and 300 lbs (whether or not you can trust these is always questionable) and quite a few of them are transfers from D1 programs. Also, a lot of upperclassmen. Hell, they might even be able to compete in the BE this year given what we've seen of the conference thus far.

take the pointsThere will probably be no line this week but Sagarin has it around Syracuse -19 at home.
This has nothing to do with a lack of balls . All I'm saying is that they will not be a pushover and they will probably be a very confident team.Ummmmm. Grow some balls!!! The boogy man does not exist...
Stony Brook will score on us but we should win by at least 2 touchdowns. Say in the neighborhood of 34-20
There will be lines set at certain books. I would think the opening would be around 24. This is tough game for us...emotionally. How do you get up for Pace, after USC & NW ? As another thread said...this will tell a lot about this years team. I am not saying I like us by at least 24. I think that would be the proper come out line though. There will probably be no line this week but Sagarin has it around Syracuse -19 at home.

Expect to see the no huddle for the entire season, as long as Nassib is QB.If we run the no huddle I think we win by 21+.
I was intrigued to see how big their OL is... the question is how athletic are they. We have more athletes across the board on DL than we've had in a long time. I would guess they are going to try to pound the rock with quick hitters given that is what has worked recently against us by fcs opponents. I don't think it will work this year.
We are still winless, that's how you get up for this game. How do you get up for Pace, after USC & NW ?

i had it at 38 - 17 type gameStony Brook will score on us but we should win by at least 2 touchdowns. Say in the neighborhood of 34-20
Lol! Well we're in must win mode now. I think alot of us to expect to head into Big East play at 2-2. If we do alot of the NW game bad taste will be gone but anything less and .... yikes.I swear to ******* god people around here are more scared of Stony Brook, a ******* D1AA team, than they were of Northwestern. For ***** sake people, it's STONY BROOK! WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST OFFENSES IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL RIGHT NOW! GET OVER IT!
My Mistake...please insert Stoney Brook for Pace, doesn't change post. Stoney Brook played Pace last game, obviously. There will be lines set at certain books. Plus Big East odds reopened: Louiville 1.5 to 1 ...Cinci 1.75 to 1...South Florida 2.5 to 1...Rutgers 8 to 1...Temple 30 to 1...SYRACUSE moved from 25 to 1 to 30 to 1...Uconn 45 to 1...Pitt 50 to 1. Am I the only one that thinks that's not right? Based on our 2 games, I thought 25 to 1 was high, way high (thought it should have been 12 to 1 before 1st game and 8 to 1 after USC). This is a serious question...is being an Orange fan clouding my judgment? 30 to 1? Come on!

That doesn't make much sense. The analysts that have seen SU play are putting them in the hunt for the BE title which I think is appropriate if this team and staff can fix a few things. This will be an interestign game because I think Stony is a very good FCS team. If SU is a good BCS team we should easily win by 20+. I'm thinking Stony may be a little too one dimensional as a running team though. SU has already faced 2 of the better offenses in all of college football and in USC possibly the best passing team with Barkley and those 2 WR's. I think SU will have way too much speed for Stony. But any team that can put up 77 points against anyone has to be respected. My Mistake...please insert Stoney Brook for Pace, doesn't change post. Stoney Brook played Pace last game, obviously.

I'd need to see what the other teams opened at/changed to. Might just be that Louisville and Cinci had impressive starts and they decreased the odds on them winning the conference, resulting in a corresponding increase for everyone else.Big East odds reopened: Louiville 1.5 to 1 ...Cinci 1.75 to 1...South Florida 2.5 to 1...Rutgers 8 to 1...Temple 30 to 1...SYRACUSE moved from 25 to 1 to 30 to 1...Uconn 45 to 1...Pitt 50 to 1.
