Top 5
1. Louisville
2. Kansas
3. Kentucky
4. Arizona
5. North Carolina

6. Syracuse Orange
Team value: $26.8 million
One-year change: 28%
Revenue: $30 million
Profit: $16 million
Conference: ACC
Head coach: Jim Boeheim

Basketball revenue was up across the board last year, with boosts coming in concessions, contributions, conference revenue, sponsorships and ticket/luxury box sales. That growth is sure to reverse, however, now that NCAA sanctions will cost the team three years' worth of revenue sharing from its time in the Big East in addition to a basketball scholarship reduction.

This made me chuckle.
Schools that reported to have made no money on its men's basketball programs last year include St. John's, Georgetown, Cincinnati, Baylor.

So 6th in the nation? Do we charge abnormally low ticket prices since we lead those other teams in attendance, some by a lot? Is merchandise sales that much of a non-factor that it isnt mentioned?

Luxury boxes at Louisville, Kentucky, North Carolina make HUGE money for those programs. I don't know about Kansas and Arizona but I am sure they have luxury boxes as well. Syracuse doesn't have the luxury boxes at the Dome for basketball because it a football stadium as well. They have those expensive courtside seats, but I think that is where the big money comes from for those other schools. 6th is awesome IMO we are the highest private school.

I was curious about Kansas after you said that since Allen Fieldhouse is an older facility. They actually don't have suites. This is an interesting article on the subject.

Spent many an evening there. From wiki ...

In December 2012, the University of Arizona Athletic Department was given approval by the Arizona Board of Regents to select an architect to renovate McKale Center. "The hope is to get it to be where it's one concourse enclosed that you can walk around and have the restrooms and concessions and everything tied to it," said Greg Byrne, the Arizona Athletic Director.[7] The renovation would also include a club area, luxury seating, and more room for the athletics offices that occupy the McKale Center. The Arizona Athletic Department ultimately decided on AECOM to plan and design the renovation. The project will be completed in several phases between 2014-2017 at a cost of $80 million.

I believe lousville is rated so high due to shotty accounting and a stadium lease that screws somebody. Its been talked about a lot on here.

With no Tourney money this year and having to pay back what we earned those years we "cheated", I can't imagine we'll be close when they tally it up next year.
