Syracuse basketball wants to play fast. How does a 4-guard lineup help?

You can pull it off if you have shooters though.. We could go small but we wouldnt make any 3s

You have to have the ball or the other team won't care what you are doing.

Bell and Taylor aren't guards. Honestly Taylor is basically a bit of an undersized stretch 4.

I thought a 'stretch 4' was a 4 who can play the 5 in a pinch, line Brown. Wouldn't a 3 who can play the 4 be a 'stretch 3'?

Got to be ahead to run something like that.

I had it wrong all these years. He stretches the defense, not himself to play like a taller player. Thanks.

Please ignore all of the references I made to a "stretch 4" in the past.

Just curious, what did you think a stretch five could do?

Have to admit that I'm quite excited to see the team go back to playing fast, and playing man to man again. The last several seasons have been a boring slow and somewhat ineffective offense
