The Ann Arbor News did the same thing a few years ago, but it did not bother anyone because after we moved away, nobody left there knew how to read anyway. It is a "town" with no newspaper; it is no longer a city.
I agree with JB; I now read the Rochester D&C every day. If I go out of town, I read all the back issues when I return. An on-line paper just doesn't allow a reader to peruse as freely or to read while relaxing. I am sorry to hear that the Post-Standard is taking the bait and will truly become the Sub-Standard.
