Syracuse DT Jayson Bromley overcomes dark past for bright future ...

Another great story. As bad as football may be for concussions, it may be even better for helping give some people purpose and dreams. I know it always motivated me through middle school and high school to be able to play on the team. Best of luck to him, we were lucky to have him on the team.

I wish him a lifetime of success. Seems like a great person

Wow what a great story, Jayson I hope you have all the success in the world you have brought alll of us SU fans great joy over the years. Call Michael Carter Williams about the annuity he has set up to protect him longterm and keep the positive influences in your life close by.

My favorite player from last years team. Can't wait to him prove people wrong. Again.

Another great ambassador kid for the program. Saw him many times having fun and signing autographs with little kids at different events/games. Definitely wishing Jay a lifetime of success!!

Bromely's career went by seemingly in the blink of an eye.

Seems like just yesterday that he was a late addition... like, a few days before the start of summer session. Complete after thought who didn't have scholarship opportunities. To go from that to a four year contributor and likely NFL draft pick is a testament to the hard work and effort he's put in.

Great article! Really hope this kids becomes Art Jones II! He deserves it and works for it!

Kaiser...if Football doesn't work for him...you ought to reach out to him. I bet he could do well in your business. Hell you ought to reach out and tell him to come see you after the NFL. He is a NYC City kid.

Jay Bromley is considered SU's only sure-fire draft pick
