On behalf of all our teammates in the Syracuse Chapter of Uplifting Athletes, we're asking for your help in supporting the rare disease community!

We've put in a lot of work and are very excited about our Lift For Life event coming up on Wednesday, July 19th, but it can’t be a success without you.

Lift For Life is the signature fundraising event for the Syracuse Chapter and our fellow college football student-athlete brothers who have joined the Uplifting Athletes nationwide network of chapters.

Our Lift For Life this year is a competition among 10 teams we put together. Each team is led by one of the veteran members of the 2017 Syracuse Orange football squad.

Proceeds from our annual Lift For Life support Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to life skills development, patient focused programs, rare disease awareness and rare disease research.

Our chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2013 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The student-athlete led Syracuse Chapter serves the rare disease community in honor of Rob Long, a former Orange punter and team captain.

We also enjoy a strong relationship with 8-year-old rare brain cancer patient Lillian Belfield and her family. Lillian’s attitude on life and her perseverance have been an inspiration to our team and the surrounding community.
