Syracuse juniors Jerome Smith, Sean Hickey will be part of Senior Day ceremony

Running back Jerome Smith, left tackle Sean Hickey and wide receiver Jarrod West — all listed as juniors on the roster — will be honored because they are on target to earn their degree in May. Their inclusion in the ceremony does not necessarily mean they are foregoing their final year of eligibility, according to Sue Edson, the assistant athletic director for communications for football.

Here's the complete list of players who will be honored Saturday:

Running back Prince-Tyson Gulley, fullback Clay Cleveland, kicker Ross Krautman, wide receiver Adrian Flemming, cornerback Joe Nassib, running back Greg Tobias and defensive tackle Lucas Albrecht are listed as seniors on the Syracuse football roster but are not part of Saturday's ceremony.

Jarrod West? Is he being asked to take his Degree? I think NFL aspirations may be considered lofty at this point no? Or is it the case, where he knows that and just wants to move on?

Or maybe he's graduating in 4 years, and he'll be a grad student next season.
