Syracuse/Marquette Preview

Nation of Orange: How do you expect the Golden Eagles to attack the Syracuse zone that has been so good this year?

Anonymous Eagle: I dunno. Laughing gas? Grenades? Angry Birds?

Nation of Orange: What does Marquette have to do to beat Syracuse Saturday?

Anonymous Eagle: Win the tip, get a 2-0 lead, then hope for a snow storm that caves in the roof of the Carrier Dome, a la the Metrodome a couple years back.

Assuming Anonymous Eagle is not blowing smoke, I feel a lot better about today's game. Just hope that the refs let em play and dont nickle-dime us on the defensive end.

Agreed, but remember, there is a HUGE (no pun intended) size advantage inside for Syracuse. Chris O'Toole was their best inside player, and biggest. He was the only one that could body up Melo.

Very creative and witty! Informative, too. I sent the link to some of my friends.

It does seem SU has the advantage in terms of players, stats, and of course the REVENGE factor. And Marquette is a good opponent, so beating them will be reassuring. I am disturbed that the BE is down this year. What is the fun in beating a Pitt or Nova team that is hapless? I know there is some satisfaction to be had in swatting a fly, but isn't it much better to win a sumo wrestling match? Maybe that's the wrong metaphor.... I wish John Syracuse could help me with this.

LOL one of the best interviews i have ever read!! Classic!!

all previews should be done by an anonymous opponent's insider.

I liked this part:

"and what's coming up is NOT a typo -- an eFG% of ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT in the last 13 minutes of the game. Again: no misprint -- Georgetown was 13-15 from the floor, with 4 makes from deep, in the last 13 minutes. eFG% of 100%. Yeah."

Actually that report sounded like Blue Curtain's scouting report on the 'Cuse.

Wow, dude know his hoops and has a great sense of humor.

A little hard on the "and Scoop spent most of the second half Jardining himself" stuff. I love Scoop but man, that's hysterical!!
