You'd think that but it really hasn't happened this year when CJ Fair and James Southerland are in the game. Even in our losses teams haven't beat us by shooting from the corners. What you'll more than likely get is blocks, tipped passes/steals, rushed shots over close outs, and long rebounds and run outs.
 
The issue is that the open guy in the corner will be the opposite side of the floor than the ball handler. You can't pass straight to him because of our height and by the time you make the 1 or 2 passes over to him he's no longer open.
 
This isn't a chest thumping post, we have just covered the corners well this year. It has been an issue in years past when we've had smaller or less mobile forwards. If you can get CJ or JS in foul trouble and on the bench you'll get Jerami Grant who is taller and more athletic but doesn't rotate as well in the zone yet at this point being a true frosh. That would be the time to test the corner theory honestly.
 
I think you have the shooters to potentially hurt us on the wings and straight on. No need to get cute and potentially turn it over vs just shoot. I would expect your gameplan to reflect that being that your coach wont be game planning on missing shots.
