Really good breakdown... makes me wonder though... did we expect better shooting from Starling/George? If not the pairing of them in the backcourt seems off. Maybe the lack of elite shooting from Kingz/Betsey to the articles point is holding them back. I do think Donnie being out really hurts us on offense. Sadiq and Kyle basically have the same offensive game so without any pick/pop threat we are much easier to play against.
1. spread offense without corner 3s makes no sense
2. PG needs to be able to make defenses pay for going under on pnr - george needs to hit pullups and both him and kiyan need to take close 3s not far ones
3. too formulaic on offense...they only run a certain small number of sets...and with the limited players they use its just too easy to scheme against...they dont break the pattern often enough
4. off ball screens - we saw them a bit last week and I thought they opened things up very well...can be a major factor imo
5. it really is like a puzzle sloving how to unlock everything given the limitations of the different players and the strategies of defenses - and red has enough pieces to solve the issues but i get the feeling he plays checkers, not chess
6. kingz can hit off movement and and screens...i would use him like steph or reggie miller and get him threes of screens
7. kyle needs space to operate but fouling him is such a good strategy it will always limit what he can do on offense. kyle is a good passer - its weird he only has 1 assist this month...he can pass well...he just doesnt get the ball enough to do so
8. sadiq hurting the offense is surprising bc he is talented...i think he just doesnt have the rght role...leaving him in the "dunker" slot...clogs the lane and crowds kyle...have to find a way to get him better looks/situations
