Am I saying we will be in the playoffs with ok QB play? No, but we can still have success with a decent QB and that’s at least what we should be looking for as a baseline.   A guy that can make plays and help score points.  How many backup QB’s have we played in the last 10 years that made our D look like crap?   I fully expect Fran and Nixon have a QB on the roster they think is better than some backup QB’s we’ve played before and had decent success.
