The Orange stand No. 19 in the most recent Director's Cup standings released on Tuesday. The competition awards points for postseason placement across all NCAA sports, theoretically determining the best athletic department in the country.

The current standings are almost final, with only baseball points still to be counted. Syracuse's best previous finish was No. 39 in 2013 and there is no way the Orange can drop below 38th.

Once the baseball points are in, I think we finish 21st in the final rankings. Minnesota and LSU will leap frog us, but I believe the other teams were already ahead of us or wouldn't get enough points to move ahead.

Unbelievable to think we will finish in the Top 25. Never thought that would ever happen.

Great job SU athletes and athletics staff and a shout out to TGD for this accomplishment. He came here saying he saw SU winning championships across the board and he helped make this a reality. Now let's hope Babers will right the ship in football.

Cheers,
Neil
