Can anyone find where the Syracuse/Notre Dame sections are broken out? I thought for last years Penn State game, the sections were assigned to each school. Just trying to figure out if I am sitting in a Syracuse or Notre Dame (likely) section. Lets me know now of what my chances are of getting thrown out/arrested.

A few years back I went to an SU v Wisconsin game in NYC. I was alone in the middle of a Wis. crowd. Loved it, as SU controlled the game, including a KO for TD. I cheered loudly for the Orange, but I did not make any stupid comments that might have provoked those surrounding me. BTW, their marching band was impressive.

if you go to this game you will be outnumbered by ND fans at a "SU home game"! Nice of Dr. Gross to give ND a game in an area where ND kicks our ass for the top recruits! Hopefully we will win or at least play good so the exposure the program gets is a positive one. We must win these games so recruits see that the program is relevant again or it will be just a game that is for the big check. Would still like to see these games played in the Dome but I understand these teams probably wouldn't come to the Dome for a game although I do think ND would because of their ACC deal.

Take a look at Ticketmaster right now for the Maryland home game. Tons of seats left for a 2-0 football team that was won a bowl game in 3 of the last 4 years against a B1G opponent. That's why games get moved to MetLife.

Honestly, fans have no leg to stand on imo when it comes to the MetLife games. Dr. Gross made a deal to get REVENUE into the football program. Cant have much of that when fans don't show up to home games and the prior TV deal (Big East) was the worst of all the former BCS conferences.

Also, Clemson last year was not a sellout when there were still talks of them being a possible contender for the NC so don't give me the argument that a big opponent would generate a sellout because history says that's not the case.

Last year I was surrounded by penn state fans. I pissed them off at first but they grew to respect me as the game went on. Not sure how my section will look this year. All I know is section 222a will have a rabid cuse fan in there.

actually I have 2 legs I stand on and where did I say any of what got you riled up?

I'm not riled up at all. Though I will be on every Saturday/Friday for every "home" game for the next 4 weeks. Just annoyed at people that cry about the AD moving home games away from the Dome when most of those same people don't bother to go to home games anyway or are members of the "sit down" crowd. Not saying your one of them but I guess I'm just sick of hearing about it. I actually think we are lucky to have the "home" games at MetLife. If you look around the landscape of college football, there are more than a handful of good teams that play a neutral or "home" game away from their regular venue. It brings exposure and money to the program.

Guess i just could have done without the first couple of statements. The one positive of having more ND fans at MetLife is it will be that much sweeter when the 'Cuse pull out the win. I for one will be chanting Let's Go Orange! all the way from sect 311 to my car if that comes to pass...much to the dismay of my poor wife.

I understand why Cuse does these games but if we don't win it's just a paycheck and losing is exposure the program cannot afford right now. My only problem with the games is don't have them against opponents that kill us for the top local area recruits. Winning solves a lot of the problems and ACC money is substantially more than it was in the Big East when the series of games at MetLife were setup. No worries about disagreeing its what makes these forums interesting.

When we made the deal it was Metlife or nothing, they weren't coming to the Dome.

Well, can't you say that about losing any game in the Dome as well? Maybe we would have a home-field advantage at home - maybe not (see when PSU visited the Dome a few years back). Also, ND beats us for recruits in any locale, so the venue for the game means little in that respect.

Looks like the Groupon one you can't choose your exact seats like the LivingSocial one? That correct?

AAM62, are you Row 4? Someone bought the two next to mine immediately after me. I'm guessing someone on this board.
