Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. How they use it is up to them. Yes, he had a good thing going. If all goes well, I can see him back as a college HC in the next year or two. If Rick Pitino has a job, this guy deserves a job.

What does Rick Pitino have to do with Patrick? He abused his position as Head coach. He abused both a DOBO and an ass't coach. He gets a second chance. Fine. Whether he deserves it in this profession is quite another story.

Both had different reasons for being fired but both were serious enough for many to question whether they would coach again. Pitino had to go overseas to pay his penance while Beilein is going this route. Both abused their positions as head coach.

I'm no Pitino fan but his transgressions didn't involve a direct report and his resume dwarfs Beilen's. If his name was Smith he would not be getting this chance.

I can’t remember was there anything official that came out on Beilein ? What did he do? Sorry I didn’t see much reported official? Sexual harassment is what I remember but it was worse?

It was sexual harassment and it was recent. Could you imagine being an AD and hiring someone with that history, especially recent history would be dumb.

It was two years ago. And he got a perfect job to show or not show that he is a changed person. Coaching guys 22 years old and over. Not at an educational institution coaching 18 year old. It's a win win for both sides.
