Syracuse student-athletes shine in classroom with 11 teams posting a perfect 1,000 APR in 2014-15.

This is such good news it's almost too hard to state all the ways it is. First, I'm going to presume these are all legitimate achievements, no UNC tactics involved. Second, it's great news for the mens basketball team in particular, to hopefully keep the NCAA off its back in the future. Third, it's likely to attract even more and better scholar athletes in the future, because so many of the mens and womens teams are extremely successful on the field as well, even winning NCAA championships or being runner up or reaching the final four. That's unprecedented to my knowledge at SU and SUcess breeds future SUcess. Fourth, and most importantly, congratulations to each and every one of the student athletes who have worked their proverbial (and maybe literal) butts off to achieve greatness in the classroom and on the field. It's a real accomplishment, given the hours they must devote both to practice, travel, games, watching tape and then going to class or watching lectures online if away (I presume this is a possibility now, with advanced technology), studying for exams and writing papers, labs. etc. I'm awestruck.
