Syracuse University football tailback Adonis Ameen-Moore has a new look for camp opening

He doesn't have a choice, if he wants to play, he's got to lose the tire. I'm pumped for him.

Is anyone who was in the "backs can be in shape and play at 260" camp last year going to admit they were wrong by, oh, 35 lbs?;) Good to hear he's lost the weight. It would seem to stand to reason that he might be a completely different runner b/c of it.

Thank you, Dave Rahme. I know a lot of the people on the board were so impressed with Jerome that they feel he is a lock to get the bulk of the carries. I hope we spread it around more and have some really fresh legs in the 4th quarter/overtime. It can make a big difference. Give a back enough carries to have a rhythm the first three, and then really lean on him at the end of the game.

Let Smith be the starter and he'll get first two or three series. Change of pace with Gulley on third down/fourth series maybe. Then them with Moore in the second quarter fresh and ready to go...

This is great news. Just hope the O-Line can create some holes.

A lot of people question our skill position talent (WR, RB)... but I actually think we have a pretty good group. If everyone stays healthy (a big IF), I expect the addition of Sales, the year of experience that Kobena/West/Wales and the addition of Broyld/Cornelius will be a much bigger boost than people realize.

Fantastic--hope he can develop into a contributor.

225 is still a BIG back.

AAM doing work. Good for him (and the team).

Great to hear. Also makes it a bit more obvious why we didn't pursue Dukes as a transfer.

my bad... that was in the kyle foster article...

LOL. Got it. Thought maybe I had gone blind.

Thank God, no more Chris Farley cottage cheese arms. I was embarrassed for him last season.

The biggest shock to me was that there no stupid comments under Rahme's article. You can almost always count on dumb comments on SU.com

Tha
He arrived on campus a year ago weighing 260 pounds but will report for his second preseason camp at around 225.

ts the weight that I though would be good for him to come in at.This bodes well for the offense. I presume Doug will allow the press into practices with the instructions to keep plays and tendencies off the printed word medium.:p;)

Let's hope for Fab Melo 2.0 (minus the suspensions, of course).

Somewhere I heard the average weight of the team went up 5-6lbs, but total bodyfat went down over half a percent.

I keep posting this but at this weight look out for AAM the kid was really something in HS great feet vision and power and a heck of a lot faster than you would imagine. With AAM we may be in position to RS both Morris and DM

AAM's problem last year wasn't his weight, it was his inability to find the blitzer who was running past him. Is 265 ideal? Probably not. Is it the main reason he didn't play? No.
