The Orange is 13-6 this season and went 3-4 in ACC regular season in 2015. The Tar Heels beat Syracuse, 15-8, two weeks ago in Chapel Hill.

Carolina has an all-time record of 17-17 in ACC Tournament play and captured the conference title in 2002. The Tar Heels have made five appearances in the ACC Tournament championship game in the last six years and nine overall (1998, 2000, 2002, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015).

Carolina and Syracuse have met six times previously, with the Orange leading the series, 4-2. Syracuse had won four consecutive meetings against the Tar Heels prior to UNC’s 15-8 win over the Orange on April 11 in Chapel Hill.
