I had earlier called in to suggest that where a recruit decided to go can impact their star rating, that a guy who came to SU as a 3 star might have bene a 4 star if he went to Penn State or Notre Dame. I did not that we have the worst football record in the ACC since we joined so that might just be an SU fan's perception. Steve said that he had never heard that SU fans had that perception before and Paully said that he felt the ratings were set before players decided where to go.

But I notice that, according to this list, we've recruited 2 five star players and 12 four star guys in this century and everybody else on the list is a 3 star, so there may be something to that. (They don't number it but it seems to be a list of 250 recruits so that's 236 three stars or 94%, including several guys who have played in the NFL. )
