Congel is to otoxic, and I think you would get pushback from Alumni as well.  South Campus doesn't flatter me either.  You need a stadium close to campus to ensure the students come to the game.  Students are not going to want to be bussed to and from games.  You will lose that attendance.  Keep in mind Faegans, Varsity, Chucks and all of M street would take a huge hit if the stadium was on south or the inner harbor.  It wouldn't take a hit if the stadium was built in Kennedy Square.
 
You people trashing Miner need to re-visit recent history.  Yes she doesn't have a great relationship with the Governor, but don't forget the City got screwed on the Congel deal with Destiny, and I am sure she wants to make sure that doesn't happen again.  It's not like she said no, she just wants more information.  I think the public deserves to hear all options, and I don't be surprised if any plans for renovations/construction are directly tied to the Reconstruction of I-81, especially with the state involved.
