[B]Ranking the Orange[/B] - The Syracuse men enter the ACC Championship with its highest ranking in program history at No. 19 - 'Cuse competes without throwers and a limited roster of jumpers and still enters the weekend as the third-highest ranked team in the ACC. - This is in large part due to the strong distance program head coach [URL='http://cuse.com/coaches.aspx?rc=1100'][U]Chris Fox[/U][/URL] has built. The Syracuse cross country team won its fifth conference title in six seasons this year and finished fifth at the NCAA Championship. [B]Knight Time[/B] - Rookie [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11957'][U]Justyn Knight[/U][/URL] has made an immediate impact nationally, despite racing just twice thus far collegiately. - The Vaughan, Ontario native has set school records in both of his meets this year -- each of which stood for over-25 years, including shattering a 52-year old Canadian Junior Record in the 5k at the Payton Jordan Invitational - Knight has earned ACC Track Performer of the Week honors after both of his appearances this season. - He was also the top-rookie at the ACC Cross Country Championships and earned gold in the Pan-Am Games for Team Canada in cross country. [B]Hail Hehir[/B] - [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11891'][U]Martin Hehir[/U][/URL] has continued his standout season into the outdoor campaign. - The ACC Cross Country and 5000-meter Indoor Champion, Hehir has been crowned an AllAmerican twice thus far in 2014-15. - Hehir owns the nation's second-fastest time in the 10k (28:27.70) and eight-fastest time in the 5k so far this year (13:35.70). He's the top-qualifier in the 10k and second behind teammate [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11957'][U]Justyn Knight[/U][/URL] in the 5k this weekend. - He also has stood out in the classroom, earning ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in both cross country and indoor track and was a Soladay Award nominee at Syracuse, which is considered the top award a student-athlete can achieve. [B]Malone Alone at the Top [/B] - [URL='http://cuse.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11901'][U]Margo Malone[/U][/URL] is the Orange's top female qualifier this weekend, owning the ACCs top-time in the 10k by over 30 seconds. - Malone was an NCAA Championships qualifier in the event last season and owns the sixthbest time nationally this season (32:29.89), which she set at the Stanford Invitational.
