And whoever else analyzed the numbers.

Where did u guys wind up with Michigan/Tulsa/Oregon state?

I just provided info. I never really made any picks in terms of teams on the bubble, just said who I thought was on the bubble, and let people see we were right in the heart of the debate. I was never certain if we would get in, but I was 100% certain we were not out like so many negative people have been here. The quality of the teams we were up against was important for people to see. Syracuse does not operate in a Vacuum.

A week ago at this time I thought we would still be in the hunt, and I felt more confident as this week progressed (Except Friday around 6:00 when i felt a little down). The 2 losses on Friday night that helped us (St. Bonaventure and Tulsa) re-invigorated me.

I had Michigan and Oregon St in. My issue with Oregon St was with Joe Lunardi and how he treated them this week. I thought they were overrated on the seed line, but I still predicted them in.

As for Tulsa -- 0 out of 58 brackets had them in.

I wonder if because of SMU/Ville the committee decided to help out the AAC and ACC by putting in Cuse and Tulsa

Hey I just wanted to say that Alsacs should really be the one taking a bow. You're really the only one on here that was adamant about SU being safely in, and you stuck by it. You were spot on. Kudos, man

I agree with Pearl. My main arguments since the last few weeks has been that the bubble would be weak and wanting to show that it is weak. We were not a 100% out of it. Create hope from that perspective only I just wanted to present a way to discuss, identify and track Syracuse vs bubble teams. . But even in the end, I shied from making any definitive calls other than saying we have a decent chance because I was concerned how lower tier schools Wichita, St. Mary's, St. Bonaventure, Valparaiso, San Diego St, would get treated.

Alsacs went deeper and he was the one making the guarantees. Alsacs probably compared us to every team I had on my final list of 13 at various points. And each time he said we were ahead of them. The reason each time was our quality of top 50 wins versus that other school.

And it's clear by how the committee chose the bubble that quality and quantity of top 50 wins was they key factor for how they separated the bubble. It was why Tulsa and Temple got in. And it was the basis that Alsacs was using. And in reality, its the common basis they have been using for years. Those saying we were just lucky -- no we were in a weak bubble, and had the key metric to withstand being on a bubble.
