and I find myself with absolutely no interest in college basketball at all. I mean, I turned off the NC state game midway through the 2nd half because I could no longer tolerate watching Rak getting egregiously fouled without any call being made each time he touched the ball. Since that moment, other than stopping by here to see if there are any developments w/ respect to the appeal and the general attitude of my fellow 'Cuse fans, I haven't so much as even clicked on any site pertaining to college basketball.

I consider myself an avid College Basketball fan and I watch many games outside our conference because I am sincerely interested in other teams and getting to know them so I can effectively judge where we are in comparison to other programs and conferences.

But since this whole NCAA thing went down I just find that I don't have any interest at all. It's sad really since it's been a rite of late winter/ early spring for 40 years for me. I guess it really boils down to the fact that I'm really upset by the whole sordid thing. I must admit that I haven't really shaken out who to be most upset with either. I just know that I'm ticked off at the fact that we find ourselves in this miserable position. Out of what, 350 Division 1 teams it's ours that has been kicked to the curb the the NCAA? I guess with the passage of time it all may seem to make more sense but for now I just can't wrap my head around the fact that WE are the team that is the whipping program of the NCAA.

It just too much to handle right now and I don't have any appetite for watching other teams play. It's just still too painful. Anyone else feel the same way?

CBB has been dead to me for a while now. Just gonna enjoy some games with no pressure. Hopefully I'm a nervous wreck in March/April next year.

I couldn't care less about who wins it, this year because I've realized that I basically hate everybody except Syracuse. Those plucky mid major cindarellas can all go to hell as they usually play an awful style of basketball(except Florida Gulf Coast, they are on my good list. Bonus points for embarrassing Georgetown!) and they all hate teams/programs like us anyway. So screw them. The last few years of conference jostling has basically made me hate every major conference team out there, except for maybe the Pac-10(?) More and more coaches around the country have implemented an awful style of basketball and act like complete morons(most of them are in the ACC) during the games going right out on the court and spazzing for calls literally all game long, so I hate all of those programs. What's left? Someone out in the Pac-10(is it 10 or 12 now? 14? Who cares)? They play too late so I wouldn't know but I'm hoping one of them catch my rooting interests, otherwise it's just not going to happen.

Its march. Pull up your panties, suck it up and enjoy the best sporting event on the planet. This is the same whiny crap u conn fans pulled two years ago

I'm with you. It sucks were not playing, but tonight is among the best nights in college basketball.

Love that the acc semis are now Friday night.

I've already taken Thursday and Friday off. It won't be the same feeling but I'm keeping up my tradition and will watch wall-to-wall.

NC playing well and Virginia is struggling. 30-19 with 1:24 to go in the first half.

It sure ain't the same. I find myself mostly rooting for certain teams to lose.

Oh, me too..can't wait from the inevitable early flameouts from teams like Notre Dame, Georgetown and others. More than any other year, I'm rooting for early bustouts from big name teams and the underdogs to do well. I'd love to latch onto a team like Valpo or the like.

UVA is going to kill my bracket. I can tell already. Do they ride their defense to a deep run? Or do they run into a hot shooting team and are not able to keep up because their offense is average at best?

Arcidiciano's favorite band is 'Maroon 5.' Gus Johnson was not pleased to hear that.

That's the sort of crap you miss when you sit around NOT watching basketball......turn on your TVs people!

I'm a college hoops junkie and will always watch. That said, how down is college BB this year? Ryan Arcidiacono was named the co-BE player of the year. Don't mean to knock him but can you imagine in year's past a player of his abilities being top dog in the BE?

I know Gus rubs people the wrong way with his high octane play-by-play, but I like him a lot. He's hip, cool and makes his games fun. He does make an average play sound like the best play ever but he's never boring.

Great time to reintroduce (or introduce) yourself to college lacrosse. The new faceoff rule is making a nice difference in watchability.

Missing out.

Zero interest my man. Havent for a while. Cant even tell you who is good or bad this year

I have no interest this year. I feel like it's blah blah blah vs blah blah ! Totally taken out by not having the excitement of SU even as a slight possibility. When SU was in the picture in the past, I always enjoyed watching potential match ups play out. The whole NCAA scenario has tainted everything for me.

There have been a few questionable BE POY's--Ben Hansbrough, Jae Crowder, Troy Bell (twice!), Pat Garrity (even though ND finished
8-10). I'm sure other leagues have had questionable picks also.

But you do have a point. I would think Pinkston and/or Hilliard, both being seniors, would have been more logical choices.
