Here is a rough day:
My brother‘s house was in a fire in California and his house suffered soot and smoke damage. The insurance company covered the damage to the tune of $200000. Less than a year after the repairs were made, California suffers a rare week of heavy rain storms and his first floor walls and ceilings are all damaged through negligent repairs made to a second floor porch and a window sill after the smoke/soot damage was repaired. The walls in his family room, dining room and living room are all stripped and are being repaired.  While the walls are stripped, he calls in a termite inspector to do a yearly inspection which is about six months overdue.  The inspector goes up to check the attic through a second floor entry. When he comes down, he drops his tool bag which hits the carpet breaking the nozzle of a pressurized paint spray can which then shoots through the second floor spraying black paint on the walls and carpet in 2 bedrooms, an office and a bathroom.  My brother can’t believe it as it was happening. His wife started drinking and I don’t think she has stopped.

They say that Sh-t happens but this is ridiculous.
