I knew he'd been there a long time, but didn't know he'd been there since 1969 (as an assistant, moving up to head coach in 1976). Wikipedia says he is 2nd behind Ratface in wins amongst active Div I coaches which is most notable in itself. My wife is from Buffalo originally, and my father got his doctorate in Education from Columbia years ago in the 50s.
