Clemson is number 1.
Virginia is beatable but they are slightly better than the rest at number 2.

Teams 3-14 are all week to week teams.
We can beat anyone and lose to anyone.

Florida State is probably the “best” of these 11.
After 5 games I think we will go 7-5 this year.
We haven’t played a complete game this season. That is good and bad.
Good because when we do will likely destroy our opponent.
Bad because it’s 5 games in and that is on coaching as much as the players.

Note I am still on Dino’s side. We have the best coach right now this program could ask for. I just wonder what is the problem. Dungey wasn’t why the OL was better last year. We need that unit to improve it will decide how the season goes.
Our defense is schizo and will be from week to week.

The yards per game on both sides of the ball are ugly to look at.
102nd in yards per game offensively.
83rd in yards per game defensively.
Yuck.

That is from the softest part of schedule sans Clemson.

Agree on the point overall that every game is so close to winnable and loseable. I was hoping Syracuse would bevoartvofctgat second tier. Here is a plug for Duke and Wake maybe joining UVA.

Agree with all of this with the small exception that I think there is a good chance Wake and/or Duke are potentially good enough to join that tiny Tier 2 group with UVA.

When’s the last time we saw a ‘cuse team look poor early on and round into a solid performer by seasons end? That’s not a narrative we’re accustomed to seeing. Dino seems to enjoy a challenge and if anyone can make it happen he can but every season is a race against injuries - hopefully we stay fortunate in that regard.

Florida State has lost to Boise State and Virginia.
Duke has lost to Alabama.

Both have shots at catching Virginia.

Wake doesn’t feel legit yet. They have a great offense but their D isn’t better than ours.

2012. Schedule was rough out of the gate but the team looked pretty crappy

When the season started, I would have been disappointed with 6 wins.

Now I'd be thrilled with 6 wins.

@Duke, @FSU, tall orders. Wake at home as well, which is final game and who knows where we'll be on the depth chart by then.

We really need to win these next 2. But we just seem broken in a few areas and it's really holding us back.

Involve the tight ends and backs in the passing game more consistently. Get healthy on both lines and maybe we can get to 7 wins. But that’s a lot of ifs and maybes unless they’re saving some tricks we don’t know about.

FSU has super athletes all over the field and are looking like they are turning the corner.

I agree mostly with the OP. I dont think VT and Louisville can beat anyone or be beaten by anyone. I KNOW GT cant beat everyone... 3-11 though is Any Given Saturday IMO
