I hope that our next head coach especially if it is Frost takes a hard look at filling out the staff with assistant coaches from the following programs.

Miami, Temple, Maryland. Terry Richardson comes to mind as a great pick for the RB position I believe that they also have a solid TE coach who is also their recruiting coordinator. Both would be solid picks.

Temples roster is filled with kids from PA NJ and Maryland. I would take a hard look at that staff as well.

Miami has many solid coaches with great recruiting connections.

If Frost is smart he will pick guys that know the east coast and i think that with these three teams all going through change he or any other coach would be smart to take a hard look at these guys.

If I am not mistaken, there is a big coaching conference sometime in the next 60-90 days where a lot of coaches get interviewed and hired.

UCF. South Carolina. Rutgers.

It'd be awesome if there were some way to get this guy in the fold if Acosta is not retained. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/coaches/jeff-hafley/b905dcc7-eb18-4ae0-9304-f6d1a25f2cfa

If we end up with a head coach with West Coast roots, ideally we need at least 2-3 Florida guys, a Georgia guy and 3-4 guys that can recruit NJ, PA, MD. Anyone should be able to make inroads in NE and NY. I suspect a HC with OC roots will want to approach QB recruiting the way Marrone and Shafer did - search nationally for players that fit the system.

I am just hoping whoever we hire I know who they are. My last reaction oh great we hired joe adam for ol, previous d3 dline coach...awesome

He was a D3 HC/DC when we hired him, don't short change him ;)

When you look at the mid to late 90's Cuse coaching staffs, there were a lot of guys that went on to'bigger and better' things ... Coach PP failed to replace those guys with others of the same caliber, probably due to a lack of financial support from the school. Whomever ends up HC, I just hope the school is willing to pay for top quality assistants.

1996:
Kevin Rogers
Steve Addazzio
Teryl Austin
Chris Rippon
Lester Erb
Ed Orgeron
David Walker
George DeLeone
PaulPasqualoni
Jeff Stoutland 1997
Dan Conley grad assistant 1997

I would like Lester Erb, Ed Orgeron, David Walker, and Markus Paul back in the program at some point

I was hoping that if Fleck was hired that he would have a way to get Hafley back into the college ranks due to them previously being on Rutgers staff together as doubtful as that is.
