we need to get to 6 before it matters, but 6 wins doesnt end the drama. any 6-6 team hurts our chances.

houston over SMU
Uconn over rutgers
nc st over maryland

clemson over USC
fresno over San Jose
air force over Col St
utah st over wyoming
emich over c mich

ACC has said to be working with other bowls where conferences aren't going to meet their bowl requirements. B12 tie in bowls will have some openings. I wouldn't worry, if we reach 6 wins we are going bowling. We may even get selected before BC since they notoriously travel poorly. Having Andre Williams will help their chances for a draw though.

Clemson will get orange bowl slot even with a loss since they won't drop to 14th with a loss to top 10 team on the road. The only game that is really a must root for on that list is nc state over Maryland since when we win we would be selected before them and pitt for sure , bc is borderline . A win with Maryland loss guarantees a bid but either way a win we will go bowling as at large slots usually go to power 5 conference teams first and most of at large gang of 5 teams will be 6-6

UNLESS THEY ARE PLAYING RUTGERS

Why? The gig is finally up at Rutgers. Another low level bowl means nothing to them since they aren't "building" a program, it is built and this is what they are. Fans, recruits, and players are obviously seeing that.

Meanwhile in some small way rooting against all things UConn, to me at least, is still in some way rooting against Jim Calhoun, Thugbeet, El Amin, Edsall, etc. Obviously none are there put I still want their program to get a bad taste of 0fer the season in dey mouf.

UCONN is already beat down with no hope. Rutgers is one loss to UCONN away from the same fate.

Door number 1: a new car!
Door number 2: a new boat!

We win no matter the outcome.

that isn't exactly true as Rutgers has 2 games left to get 1 win and they play usf in last game

99% of the time I agree, but I really want Rutgers to retain Flood and fall on their face next year. Keeping flood for one more year could set their program back by five.

Assuming we win we will be 4-4 in conference play which places us higher in the pecking order.

you have to think the ACC would push hard for us to be taken over maryland given whats happening with the leaving and the lawsuit.

I think that we get picked before BC and Pitt. I would add UMD to that list, to, but UMD has to be attractive for the Military Bowl.
