I may have mixed you up with OitG, one of you guys basically said we don't need good defense. That having a super high powered offense would give us a chance against anybody and that a good offense always trumps a good defense. I apologize if I did in fact get you mixed up, however if that is your actual philosophy then I stand by what I said because whether is was you or Otto or whoever, they are wrong. Football is a 3 phase game and those who refuse to pay attention to all 3 phases end up at home in Dec.

I went through this with Gerg and Millen/Lions. Both teams had reached absolutely historic lows, at the same time, I started to wonder if I was in the twilight zone, like how could both of my favorite football teams really be this freaking bad. Lucky for me, the Lions are very much in contention and should give me meaningful football deep into Dec if not Jan this time around.

I see the Pitt game last year and say your theory has some serious holes in it. We scored 60+ points and still lost. We score 40+ against Wake and lost. You need to play all 3 phases of the game.
