(I'm now going to post this series to the "Other Sports" board because we are told the "off Topic" board is on it's way out. Keeping track of temperatures is at elast a hobby involving numbers and weather impacts sports, so there's some logic to the choice.)

Here are the actual high temperatures in Syracuse for each day in January 2018 compared to the average high, (based on stats that go back to 1901) and the difference that day, + or – as well as a running deficit or surfeit. Here is the website I used for these numbers:

The numbers are the date, the actual high, the historical average high, the net difference, the cumulative net since January 1st, the numbers of days we exceeded the historical average, the number of days we didn't reach it and the number of days we tied it.

Comments: What a roller-coaster ride! We were below normal for the first 7 days by a combined 106 degrees, (15 degrees per day!). Then we had five consecutive days above normal by a combined 73 degrees (also 15 per day). Then we had 6 below average days by a total of 68 degrees, (11 per day). Then we had 6 above average days by a total of 66 degrees (11 per day). Then the pattern broke up in the last week of the month. We wound up a net -3 three degrees from normal for the month and even in days, with the last day being right on target.
