Comments: it was a roller-coaster month with seven ‘=’ days in a row early in the month, followed by five ‘-‘ days and then some of the coldest weather we’ve had in years sandwiched around a brief thaw. Now we are in another thaw. Overall it turned out to be a colder than normal month. The thing is, winter began right after Halloween so we’ve completed three month of it and still find ourselves in the middle of it.  It’s my informal observation that the weather pattern often changes with the month so I’m hoping for a mild February, followed by march coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb. We’ll see…
