I no longer am rooting for a early leave...I am demanding it. This is absolutely a joke not only for the BE conference but for those teams still in it. The leave now may be the very best option because what happens if other invitees who have not played or paid decide not to join in '13? I believe that all the resasons for staying including being politically correct are no longer worthy...the BE conference is not living up to its moral and ethical responsibility...it passed on that when it allowed the bball onlies to dominate the conference...now the football playing schools are left with dreck! Free 'Cuse NOW!

but this egregious lack of leadership in providence is clearly grounds for a conf dismissal, WITHOUT even having to pay.

the financial hit, the competition hit that the student athlete is forced to accept and the damage to SU's reputation is an irremovable black mark.

SU should be allowed to leave for all sports beginning spring 13, yes that means next basketball season.

Amen, the fact the Big East got 20 million dollars from WVU to get out early and they haven't used that money to secure a new team for 2012 speaks volumes to where the Big East loyalty truly is. Again, as it has been reported it would cost Boise State 10 million dollars to leave the Mountain West for 2012, but the Big East won't give them any money like the Big XII did for WVU. Basically the Big East is doing the bare minimum to appear like they give a stuff, if the Big East doesn't have 8 members for 2012 then the Big East is an epic failure which isn't shocking.
