Can you really try to use that and stretch it out for the entire year? Um, I think that excuse may work for like 2 games maybe. But you know what, my 5 year old nephew believes that. He also asked me to clean out the chimney so santa doesn't get dirty when he stops by the crib on the 25th. 7. Senior walk-on busts his tail for 4 years sees no tick in last game even though Cuse had nothing to play for. Good character shown by Shafer. I mean according to him this program is all about good character kids and shaping young men. Oh ya? If you truly believed that, one of your top priorities that game woulda been getting that kid in the game any way you could. Didn't even matter if the game was close, if you gave a s#$t, you woulda got him in. That shows your true character Shafe and it sucks. Boom 8. Central Michigan. (ya I know they won but I don't care) The team is staying over an hour and a half from the stadium and he has them dress up in full pads to take the bus ride at a noon game with a 1 hour time change. He said " I wanted them to feel like it was high school again." Appreciate that Shafe, you are a high school caliber coach. That shoulda backfired on ya but it didn't because CMU was missing 2 stud players. 9. All the press conferences basically. No explanations ever given for anything. Just rambling about fighting our butts off. Brent Axe said it perfectly. Shafer doesn't understand that you can't just out muscle a team with hard nosed football. Its important, but its only a small piece to the puzzle of winning teams. The gameplan is actually way more important. Shafer was out coached in every game this year starting with Villanova. Seriously, there is no other reason Nova almost beat us other than coaching. Pointblank. Boom! 10. Seriously I'm not naming a tenth. Just going to say we lost between 5,000-10,000 die hard fans this year that will not watch a game or spend another dollar until this coach is gone.
