Tennessee’s bigs make Budinga look small

Watching Va Tech and ND today I'm not booking those as definite wins either. Going to be a season of close games.

but all offseason i was told height doesnt matter in modern basketball and the centers/bigs we have are more than adequate

(seeing kansas outrebound this squad by 20 was pretty sad)

Lol surely not from me

Council from the Bonnie’s dominated the second half on both ends of the court. He looked very good. Quick as heck.
Guaranteed he wouldn’t have looked the same here. And we weren’t interested. He’s a worse shooter than JJ.

At this point I have a feeling we will have played 4 teams in a row that will be in the elite 8 or at worst the sweet 16.

I’m done with Autry just because I will not accept 60 point blowouts in a half. Especially multiple years now.

but also have to state facts. no way in hell some of the top coaches in the league right now will have faced a 4 day stretch like we are now. Especially in late November down their main scorer. Kansas and Iowa St even down their main man still got Creighton and Notre Dame games in between. Our relaxing middle game was Kansas who finished THIRD place behind Michigan who is going to crush the Zags. And the point of this thread Tennessee finished 4th with likely Iowa state that should’ve been top 5. Thats crazy.

Maybe once or twice in a conference tourney these top coaches and teams catch crazy seedings but even then the top teams play bottom seeds the first and 2nd day.

Listened to Tennessee game on Sirius with Vols broadcast. Postgame they were very bullish on Cuse. Said they were an impressive team for 2-1/2 games against tough competition. Said Cuse plays hard and Tennessee needs to bring "A" game on Tuesday. A lapse or lackluster performance and the Vols will leave Syracuse with a loss. Said Dome is tough place to play. These guys had no reason to hype Cuse. I guess outside perspective is way better than our perspective.

Gonzaga gave up 59 points to Michigan in the first half, and they’re going to lose by nearly 50. The players didn’t quit, they were shellshocked and overwhelmed. It happens sometimes.

Nice words. I think it reflects that we’re a more talented team than in the past.

Didn’t seem that people on Reddit were nearly as down on as we were here either.

I’ll admit I didn’t watch a ton of the players era but alot of good teams that might be on the bubble also got the piss beat out of them like we did in one game. Imagine you’re a Zags fan and you think you got something then you get slaughtered last night by 40 or worse a Maryland fan. Yea you get the win over UNLV day 1 early then trounced by 40 2 games in a row where you were never competitive.

Seems like some teams were just on heaters and others were a mess when they got figured out.

I’m not ok with Autrys garbage product but the one half of hoops that we got annihilated on a Wednesday morning at 10AM in Vegas may not be as devastating as it felt.

We’ve seen this before from this coach. Can’t be glass half full
