...by acting as a mentor to Eric Dungey.

As a fifth year senior / team leader / captain, help the kid understand how to read film effectively, understand coverages, and how to read defenses. Help the game slow down for him so that he can be more effective and lead this team to a bowl.

As a true frosh thrust into an unexpected starting role, he's going to have a LOT on his plate this season. Hunt could help alleviate that burden to some degree, help Dungey focus on being prepared, and accelerate his learning curve.

So what you will about Hunt the player, but he's always been a charismatic leader. No doubt he'd disappointed as hell, but now is the time for him to demonstrate REAL leadership and find a way to help the team.

Yes he can, but we lost the one guy we couldn't afford to lose, this program just can't catch a break.

i disagree they may have caught a break. crisis breads creativity and opportunity. happens everyday in the real world, and sports

It does, but losing a 5th year senior qb is a killer.

Maybe not. Hunt was experienced but he doesn't throw the ball as well as Dungey. 10 games from now, Dungey might be the better player.

totally

unfortunately even terrel himself doesn't have a ton of starts under his belt. 12 in '13 and only 6 last year. and a totally different skill set.

He should look at this year as a free GA year. If he wants to get into coaching he could do his rehab and sit in the offensive coaches meetings.
If he gets granted a 6th year then great if not I hope he gets a shot at being a GA if he is interested in coaching.
