I really think he is the future at quarterback. From everything I've seen from him on tape he looks to be far ahead of Broyld as a passer and as a qb in general. Broyld is a powerful and dominant runner but Hunt is extremely mobile and elusive as well.

I was at the spring game last year and Hunt did look a little shaky (as would be expected) in passing drills but I seem to remember reports that by the end of the year he looked very good.

From the very limited film we have seen of Ashton he did seem to progress a bit throwing the ball at Milford but Hunt just seems to have that star confidence about him.

He clearly is the best smelling player on the team but does anyone have any insight into what the staff thinks of him at this point as next year's qb?

Terrell Hunt is the kind of kid I'd like to put my arm around and try my best to get him straightened out in his head . He lost his parents and thats more than tough for a young person starting off on his life at college. I agree that the kid has the talent from what little I've seen. I hope he gets a second chance in life at Syracuse.;)

He looks like like a starting QB. He is a good 2 inches taller than me and I am 6 2 without shoes. He looks to be in great shape. The funny part is I was standing next to him at the food court in Carousel Mall two weeks ago. Have to say I was surprised to see him there of all places. I hope everything works out, everyone is allowed one minor mistake.

I saw Hunt on campus last week- football in hand. The suspension is a set back- but hopefully this is a growing experience for him.

He's one heck of a nice kid if you ever get the chance to talk to him. You wouldn't even know he's been through so much he just goes about his business and gets it done. This is definitely the kid I hope to see behind center.

I will take Ashton instead the kid is a legit stud in so many places so why not have the ball in his hands as much as possible. Even if it's not this year next year would be great to jog him out there

The way way he moves in the pocket and when he takes off...even the way throws on the run reminds of me of Donovan. Just seems like a guy who may be doesn't "test" well in drills. But when the lights go on...maybe a similar situation when Dnabb barely beat out Kevin Johnson. Maybe Broyld will be KJ to Hunt's McNabb? Look at the film on him.

Out of all the people on this board to get in the head of somebody else, you would be the best candidate, I just don't know if he would be be better off before or after.

What evidence is there that Broyld would make a better QB though? Sure he is a better athlete, but athleticism rarely translates to being a better QB. For all we know there is a very good reason why Broyld did not throw in Rochester, and if the mentality and throwing technique do not exceed Hunt's then we all know who will be at what position in the backfield. Hunt was already ahead of Kinder and Loeb at the end of last season, and that was out of the mouth of many of the players. You are placing huge expectations on the kid when he has proved nothing other than that he can run with the ball.

It's college not the pros tons of QB's don't throw well enough to translate into the NFL if your QB is a athlete like a shoelace, or any cornhuskers QB's of 80's and 90's or any Oregon Qb and so on you should see my point by now. We need to get out of this offense for him to thrive but he has all the tools. High School videos show he has enough of an arm to get us bye. Terrell is a solid all around QB but isn't a flat out stud like Ashton. As far as the bolded part maybe you don't read well I said I would rather have him there then Hunt and said he is a stud player in many positions. Look at his tape he was the best recruit we had coming in. He is one of the few kids that can play QB, RB, LB, S, and TE to me that makes you a great player and a special athlete. Why not give the special athlete a shot instead of another average QB is my point

I don't see anything from the film to suggest that Broyld is as good a passer as Hunt. Did you watch the tape on Hunt? Does that look average to you? He is a high level athlete with elusiveness and speed. Broyld may be a better runner based on his powerful frame but Broyld is not that far behind.

I think Broyld is a special talent but just by going by what I see I don't see how you can suggest that Broyld is a stud and Hunt is average. It is entirely possible that I'm wrong but if I am could you tell me why you think Broyld is special and Hunt is not?

I agree given what hunt did i really thought that he would be suspended for two games. I cant believe that he was taken out of spring practice.

I think a big part of what they both do is throw well when the pocket gets rolled and Hunt is more of an accurate passer however Ashton can get out of tackles better. The thing about Ashton is he can give you more time and big play ability and tie that in with our offensive line we need that. Not sure how Hunt is anything that wows you I can name 4 kids who play ball is the Prince William County district that film looks better. I think Hunt is another guy who is a great option to have as a number 2 or a 4th or 5th year starter. There is nothing wrong with for a career at SU but with that said I am just not sold on him like everyone else

You are now comparing our system and talent level to that of Oregon, Michigan, and Nebraska in the 80s and 90s...wow you just proved my point. All those QBs has ridiculous amounts of NFL talent around them at the skill positions and on the defense; not to even mention the offensive lines of those compared to what we have. I would much rather see the kid that can THROW and run at the QB position rather than a kid that can just run (ex; Tim Tebow). If you like him for so many positions then why shouldn't he play one of those other positions? As far as my reading comprehension (really?) I read pretty darn well. You are calling the kid a stud, and he has never set foot on the field during a D I game and he's some can't miss stud? Yes, the potentially is there, but he is by no means a stud; Cam Newton, RGIII, and Andrew Luck were studs, Broyld has proved nothing.

Let us not forget that Hunt was a starting forward for Christ the King in basketball, they very rarely start guys that aren't great athletes. Anyone who starts for a good NYC basketball team has to be an above athlete. I am still very excited for Hunt even with the set back of no pre-bowl and spring practice. Unfortunately he has lost what 30 or so practices. This is another example of why this team HAS to make a bowl, the young QBs need the extra practice time.
