I think you suppose too much.  The BE is in a much better bargaining position right now than the ACC, in both football and basketball.  The BE officials are not going to sit by and watch this time.  I predict that they go on the offensive and re-offer KU and KSU, at the very least.  The ACC could be in a real football dilemma if the SEC comes calling.  I bet we would see one BE team going to the B10 before we see two or more decide to head south.  The BC experiment has clearly failed miserably, so I don't see schools like SU or UConn eager to take that plunge.  Boeheim is right on when he says the BE could make itself stronger and that SU is better off to stay put.

The BE is going to get bigger and get a pretty good chunck of the TV pie when all is said and done.  I think statements predicting the end of the BE are greatly exaggerated.  If we've learned anything over the past decade it's that the BE finds a way to survive and prosper despite it's critics.
