Tied up at 27 with 10 min to go and have looked very mediocre against a team missing several stars and who gave up 33 a game in the ACC (and didn't play Clemson). Very unimpressive.

Yeah, they ultimately put it away, but the onside kick let them make it look like a blowout that it wasn't.

These games are often hard to judge. A team that realistically thought they would be in the playoffs ends up in the Orange Bowl against North Carolina. Motivation is different.

They still pulled away for a 2 TD win against a team that had about 1,000 yards when they played on that same field a few weeks ago.

A&M talked the entire time they were motivated for this bowl game.
Because UNC was basically the win that got ND in the playoffs over them.
ND dominated UNC more than A&M did.
UNC was without 3 of their 4 best skill guys and they looked good.

UNC dropped 3 deep balls in this game they should have caught.
A&M wasn’t better than ND they beat a bunch of medicore SEC teams and got destroyed by Alabama.
If they played them again it would have been the same thing.

But the guys responsible for most of those 1,000 yards were sitting at home in Chapel Hill. Not to mention that the final score was very misleading.

This is a lot more thought than I would have put into it, but ok. They didn't belong I guess.

I just personally think that no matter what kids may say, where they end up vs how close they were to where they wanted to be tends to show thru on the field.

No big deal to me. No horses in this stupid race for me. Best two teams are playing next Monday anyway.

UNC was without there 3 best weapons, totaled 3600 yards and 39 touchdowns they were without, if A&M wanted to use the orange bowl as evidence they should've been in they failed, had one good win and beat a bunch of sub .500 sec teams, second best win was a team who fired their coach.

and those sub .500 SEC teams beat some ranked teams that weren’t sub .500 ... other than Vandy every team can play. UK beat NC St who was 8-3 and Miss St beat Tulsa. The ACC was a mighty 0-6 ... it isn’t even a comparison at this point.
