they went beyond with announcing the refs names. they could have left it with refs not having a good day.. they represent the school and the league when they are in that position. Its not a blog where you can just let anything go.

Nah, refs need to be held accountable because some are worse than others, and those that are bad need to either be retrained or asked to leave division 1

Absolutely and definitely need their names thrown out there so their families can feel the wrath of the fans too. If you’re going to be make terrible calls on the field then your kids should be harassed and verbally abused too. Freedom of speech.

Feel there should be more transparency and accountability for ref crews, especially at the P5 level. Too much at stake. Let everyone check online on the quality of these crews.

Well first off, the refs names are publicly available before every game, and second, many times the refs names are announced when plays occur by them or when they make pivotal calls so this isn’t some anomaly of an event. As for the family being harassed, please provide some examples of that as a consequence of announcers calling refs out.

They're getting paid to do a job. A job where they specifically identify players that commit penalties. Why shouldn't they be identified?

The refs represent the league too. If they suck, they shouldn't be let off the hook.
