So, if I'm Thamel and I'm pissed, maybe it's because he was used as Boeheim's mouthpiece that he wanted to stay, Boeheim denied it making Thamel look bad, and then Boeheim gets just what he allegedly wanted in the first place - not to be forced out by the NCAA.  Did I miss anything there?

Now who is this serving?  Is it in SU's interest that he doesn't want to go?  Is it in SU's interest that Hopkins, after all this public acknowledgement of him as coach-in-waiting for literally years now, is gone?  We just extended the contract of a coach who is going to be 73 at the start of the season?
