They have been exemplary individuals on and off the court, and will be long remembered by SU basketball fans. You don't make deep NCAA tournament runs without cornerstones like Gbinije and Cooney.

Cooney played so well during this tournament. I hope he'll always be remembered for these special games and this special run. I can honestly say I don't remember somebody who left as much sweat on the floor than this guy did. Gmac was a warrior without a doubt but Cooney just never ever stopped and his defense was very good.
