It has all the family/fun/feasting of Christmas, except I'm under no pressure to decipher what gifts would excite my loved ones that for some strange reason they didn't buy for themselves at any point during the other 364 days of the year.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm thankful for the fact that my worried thoughts after the St. Francis game were most likely irrational.

Thanks and happy thanksgiving to you, all my brosephs and of course, all my lady brosephs. The boys are looking good so early in the year and let's enjoy the ride!

Easily my favorite holiday too. I'm partially biased because my bday falls on it every so often. Nothing better than deep fried turkeys, drinking beer (although after last nights game you would think I'd had enough), and hanging with the fam.
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Sometimes I think Christmas would be a lot better if we stopped giving material presents and instead just wrote everyone in our circles a handwritten note telling them how much we loved them.

Christmas is getting out of control. Thanksgiving is so much better. It has all the good things of Christmas and very little stress. Family + food = aaahhhhhh.

Although for a large number of people, Family = AAAAHHHHHH!

Agreed, the house never smells so good as when Mrs Moo is cooking turkey with all the trimmings. There's no family for thousands of miles, so we always invite friends over, and it's pretty nice too, in part because there's no "baggage." :D Hope everyone had a nice one. :)

Plus, and this freaks a lot of my friends out, but we shouldn't even celebrate Christmas because it's not in the Bible.

Of course, Thanksgiving isn't either. LOL. But at least the word "thanksgiving" is in the Bible. And probably more along the lines that Christ would have approved.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the mentioned Mrs. Moo. We all look forward to your refereeing insight this year with the rule changes.

Commercialization has ruined a lot of holidays and stripped them of their meaning, including this great holiday. To quote my quote in my senior yearbook, "You don't know what you've got til it's gone". If we all focused on what we have to be thankful for more often, life sure would be more enjoyable. I wish blessings upon all of you until we reach this day again next year.
