i think your missing my point a bit. from a pure basketball perspective its a risk.. but what i am referencing is the institution.. a player is not an institution.. recruiting and selling the nba to every single top 25 player and using situations like noels to sell the player the thought of a theoretical no lose situation is low risk recruiting.. cal still can network with the best and feed them to the agents he has connections with. he is not like a jb, its not all about the university.. if he leaves tomorrow he has 20 suitors waiting to hand him a job and a fat paycheck.. the recruiting methods are a risk to uk... but cal is not uk.. cal is just cal inc.  thats why i say its no risk recruiting.. and why its an ugly proposition.. i dont get the respect for cal.. makes no sense.. but opinions are everywhere and thats just mine.
