Total dominance.

Great job by Desko this year building a team around interchangeable parts, and not running through one or two stars.

That being said, Rice, Donahue, Maltz and Lecky are really coming into their own at just the right time.

I was dead wrong on Lecky. Said a few weeks ago to move him to SSDM. Kids gotta a rocket shot. He should be very good someday...

I don't think there is any star on this team so he didn't have a choice. Marasco is funny he's not really a star but his speed has changed the game for us because the attention on him opened the door for other players. Then finally those other players who needed to step up did - schoon, cometti, rice, Donahue, ward, Loy, lamo, and now Lecky is stepping up. The defense is playing rock solid.

This team has the ability to win it all and plays up or down to their competition. I think they'll crush nova.

Nova is a tough match up for our D. Megill doesn't do we'll against small shifty guys.

Gotta agree with Whitey, Nova is not a great matchup for SU, no real star player for SU to key on and there middies are all former attackmen. Nova can be scored on though as there short stick d guys are only so=so. There poles are pretty good especially lacassio who will surely draw JoJo. SU needs to be much crisper on Saturday, way to many turnovers today that Nova will capitalize on Saturday. Hope Cometti steps up, he needs a big game, ditto Loy who was unusually bad today.

That win should earn them a top 3 seed at least. Notre Dame's RPI is #1 in the country, so Cuse is playing the "quality win game" very well...One thing not mentioned recently are the face-offs, we're quietly improving in this area. Of course, Croonquist will provide a big challenge on Saturday. I wonder if we're going to see a lot of Cal Paduda.

You will see a lot of Paduda, I also think Walters and Dejoe will be playing a decent amount as well Nova plays a lot of zone if they get in trouble.

Not having a choice, and pulling it off are two different things.

And Nova is playing for their tournament lives also. 7-7 after yesterday. Win and they're in. Lose and the can't qualify. Massive motivation.

That was fun to watch! JoJo's behind the back pass! Rice on point again and Lecky has found his feet, teams looking dangerous it makes you think what we would be like with Mullins and Galasso!!!

I also think Hamlin doesnt get enough credit the kid is a beast Quite kid but a beast on the field!

syracuse wont be overlooking villanova like they did last time. i would really be surprised if this is a tight game.

A lot of credit to SU... They looked pretty ordinary at the beginning of the year but they've gotten better and better as the year went on. The way they're playing they might be the favorite going into the tourney -- assuming they beat Nova.

Gotta disagree there, Nova has been playing SU tought the past few years and has beat SU two years in a row. I expect SU to win but those looking forward to a threepeat of the ND performance are likely to be dissapointed, Nova has more weapons on Offense then ND and better long stick defenders with guys like Locassio. Syracuse will need to limit turnovers, especially JoJo and get at lest 40% at the X.

And they're playing at home.

Which means they'll have 20 more fans in the stadium then SU will. :D

There could be some matchup issues but nova is not a good team. this is a team that has lost seven times this season and none impressive.

If Syracuse comes out like they're facing UVA or Hop, Princeton or ND they will roll.

My money is definitely on cuse rematch games this season.

Nova is better then you think, the W/L record is misleading, 6 of those losses were in the first month of the season to Penn State, Maryland, Drexel, Leigh, Penn, and Princeton, 5 of those 6 are probable tourney teams though Penn needs a win today and Leigh is allready in the tourney. Syracuse has played a lot of tight games this year including most of the games you mentioned above UVA, Princeton, Hop (comfortable win). I would love to see a repeat of last years tourney win against Nova but I think your setting yourself up for dissapointment if your looking for SU to dominant from the start especially with Croonquist at the X for nova.

Nova’s won some tight games to though bro.

Syracuse is a completely different team when they come to play and I suspect they’ll show up tomorrow.

Hard to say what a blowout is anymore but I don’t expect this game to ever be in doubt. Keeping in mind Cuse is going to take Villanova’s best punch at home on a beautiful day but I still say Cuse wins in the (12-14) to (6-8) range. Cheers.

I agree Syracuse is the better team and I am expecting a win you can believe that. But I am failing to see your premise on how you expect this game to never be in doubt. Outside of ND the last two games (who SU has owned the past few years) what high level team has SU blown out this year or been so far ahead the game was never in doubt? The Rutgers, Hobart, Georgetown games were all way to close to comfort and we finally got bit by Hobart and Nova is better then those teams.

SU the last few years for whatever reason in Lax has been playing up or down to its opponent. After coming into the second ND game with a chip on its shoulder you have to believe there will be at least some minimal letdown by the team most likely on D as Lamo has stuggled to string together multiple great games. The overall season sample size by SU is a greater indicator of how this game may play out versus the last two games against ND, which is likely a 2-3 goal game which hopefully SU is on the winning end of.
