That Western Michigan win was a good win

For whatever reason, WMU seems to be a 2nd half team (which drives me NUTS). But, yeah, somehow the team finds a way to pull out a win. Last week's game against BGSU was a perfect example. Stopped watching around the end of the first half because, well, they sucked. BAD. Was positive we'd get spanked by a good 3+ TDs. Checked my ESPN feed a few hours later while at a party, and learned that we'd scored roughly 4 unanswered TDs in the second half to eke out a win. Ugh.

You can see they had talent though a bit undersized but had a lot of speed to help compensate that.

Shhhhh. The 3rd quarter of that game is a big part of the narrative the pessimists are using to support the argument that Babers and Devito aren't very good.

Bad coaching decision, took too long to shift back to Dungey, poor play by Devito that was exacerbated by some mistakes by others. It should be a conversation point when reviewing both of their performances this year. You cant bring up the Fla State win in defense of either without looking at those factors in WMU. I haven't heard a bunch about Babers not being a good coach, and i haven't heard anyone really take the Devito is not good path.

I think you are confusing that with Devito would be better than Dungey right now. Many have taken the opposite of what you suggested and are saying Devito would for sure be better despite mixed evidence.

The Broncos won again yesterday, currently lead the MAC West, and are now bowl-eligible at 6-2. Their offense is averaging 36 pts/ game.
